Former UFC dual champion [autotag]Daniel Cormier[/autotag] can add acting to his multi-faceted skillset.
Cormier has been cast in a television series spin-off of the movie “Warrior” starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton, director Gavin O’Connor revealed in an interview with DiscussingFilm.
Cormier will play Bobby Watkins, “a Houston fighter who’s trying to pull his family out of poverty.” O’Connor, who will serve as the director and executive producer of the show, said the series won’t follow the same story as the movie, where the Conlan brothers embark on different paths but end up competing in the same MMA tournament. Lionsgate Films will produce the TV show.
