The Detroit Lions will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 without two of their best offensive weapons. Head coach Dan Campbell delivered the bad news on the injury front prior to Friday’s practice session in Allen Park.
After effectively ruling out top WR Amon-Ra St. Brown with an ankle injury, Campbell delivered more bad news. He was asked about running back D’Andre Swift, who has not practiced all week after suffering a shoulder injury and aggravating an ongoing ankle injury in the Week 3 loss in Minnesota.
“Yeah he’s not looking good either,” Campbell responded. “I’d say he’s probably out as well.”
The official injury designations come out later on Friday, but expect to see both Swift and St. Brown ruled out. Jamaal Williams, who ran for 87 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3, will take over the starting RB role. Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson should see their roles increase to fill Swift’s injury-related void.
