According to UFC president Dana White, he couldn’t care less what people think of his friendship with president Donald Trump.
Earlier this month, White gave a speech at a Trump rally in Colorado Springs, Colo. Speaking before thousands at Broadmoor World Arena, White didn’t really get into politics. Instead, he mostly touted his opinion of Trump’s character. Trump attended UFC 244 this past November at Madison Square Garden in New York.
However, the original plan wasn’t for White to speak at the event, he said. In a recent interview with TMZ, White said his original plan was to just hang out with Trump.
“I wasn’t really campaigning,” White said. “He called me and asked me if I wanted to go to Colorado. He said, ‘Want to go to Colorado?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ We flew over to Colorado for the day and then back to Vegas. We were just hanging out and talking fights. I wasn’t even supposed to speak that day. I was just cruising over there with him. He called me up.”
Despite all of the experiences White has been a part of, he was awed by the ride on Air Force One. White went on to praise the president’s loyalty and friendship over the years.
“Insane, incredible, insane – I can’t say it enough” White said. “This guy … is such a good friend and such a loyal, amazing guy. He is a great guy. He’s been a friend of mine for a long time.”

As for the critics of his appearance at the political rally, White said they’re not his problem. According to White, he doesn’t care what they have to say.
“I (couldn’t) give an (expletive),” White said. “I don’t give a (expletive). If you don’t like me because I’m friends with this guy, that’s your problem, not mine.'”
