Dan Quinn breaks down the one key similarity between Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels

Dan Quinn said one similarity between Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels is that they’re “elite competitors at the highest level.”

Anytime an athletic quarterback with a rocket arm comes into the NFL, he’s immediately compared to Ravens MVP Lamar Jackson.

The latest comparison is right down the street from Baltimore in Washington D.C., as Jayden Daniels has helped resurrect a proud franchise that’s been dormant for over a decade. Daniels has led the Commanders to a 4-1 start, and with his success has come a ton of comparison and pitting the two quarterbacks against each other.

During his Wednesday press conference, Washington head coach Dan Quinn identified similarities between the two quarterbacks.

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy at LSU in 2023 after he threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns while rushing for 1,134 yards and ten scores. During Jackson’s 2016 Heisman Trophy season at Louisville, he threw for 3,543 yards and 30 touchdowns while running for 1,571 yards and 21 scores.

As a rookie in Washington through five games, Daniels leads the NFL in completion percentage (77.1%) and is sixth in quarterback rating (106.3).
