Damian Lillard can’t be stopped right now, as he showed in Game 1 of the Portland Trail Blazers’ opening-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
So it’s perfectly okay that cameras caught him getting down and dancing during the win, and it’s just delightful on top of that to see him having some fun.
With under six minutes to go Lillard hit one of his patented long threes to tie up the game at 87 apiece. As he came back to play defense, he did a few seconds of a dance move.
It’s hard to hear what song it is, but it’s significant:

Lillard explained what got him moving: it was Too Short’s Blow the Whistle, and Lillard told reporters, “My hometown, East Oakland, was being represented in the arena, so I had to show my love.”
"When Too Short came on, I was feeling good. My hometown, East Oakland was being represented in the arena, so I had to show my love"

His teammate, C.J. McCollum had no problem with it:
"He can dance all he wants if he's going to shoot from half court and score 30"
