Cook became the third Viking to ever run for 200 or more yards in a game. The other two were Adrian Peterson and Chuck Foreman.
Cook, who leads the league in rushing touchdowns, has been absolutely on fire lately. Cook missed the team’s game against the Falcons in Week 6, but has ran for 130 yards in four of his last five games.
He already has 858 rushing yards this season. This puts him on pace for 1,961 rushing yards in 15 games this season.
Last season, Cook ran for a career-high 1,135 yards. If Cook can stay healthy, which has been the question of his career, he should absolutely destroy that mark.
Cook’s next chance to shine will be in Week 10 against the Bears in Chicago. Cook has struggled in three career games against the Bears, averaging just 28.7 rushing yards per game.
Heading into this week, the Bears ranked 16th in rushing yards allowed.
