Dalton Risner predicts big year for Broncos QB Drew Lock in 2020

Broncos offensive lineman Dalton Rinser thinks Drew Lock is going to have a big season in 2020.

The Broncos didn’t make the playoffs in 2019 but the team won four of their final five games and offensive lineman Dalton Risner is excited about the team’s outlook going into next season.

“There is a lot of good stuff to build on going into 2020,” Risner said on Dec. 29. “I think that we have a great football team, we have a lot of young guys coming back and a lot of fire.”

Part of what makes Risner so optimistic about 2020 is the fact that Denver appears to have found a franchise quarterback in Drew Lock.

“I can’t say enough good things about Drew Lock, a 4-1 football player,” Risner said. “It is hard to win games in the NFL especially when you are a rookie. The dude deserved to be drafted in the first round and I think that he has proven that these past five games.”

Lock completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,020 yards with seven touchdown passes against three interceptions last season. Risner believes the young quarterback will be even better in 2020.

“I think Drew is going to kick a lot of ass next year,” Risner said.
