Dallas Turner discusses Tennessee’s offense at SEC media days

Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner discusses Tennessee’s offense at SEC media days.

The third day of Southeastern Conference media days is taking place Wednesday at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban and three Crimson Tide student-athletes kicked off day No. 3 at media days.

Alabama junior linebacker Dallas Turner discussed playing Tennessee’s offense last year.

The Vols defeated Alabama, 52-49, and totaled 567 offensive yards (385 passing, 182 rushing) in 2022.

“It’s a very high-powered offense, very fast,” Turner said of Tennessee’s offense under head coach Josh Heupel.

Quarterback Hendon Hooker completed 21-of-30 passing attempts versus the Crimson Tide, totaling 385 passing yards and five passing touchdowns, in Tennessee’s win.

“They had a great quarterback last year, Hendon Hooker, doing what he does best, throwing the ball and making completions, fast reads and all types of stuff like that,” Turner said. “They are very difficult to defend, an offense like that. We just came up short last year. We just hope for the best this year.”

Turner recorded two tackles versus Tennessee last year.
