GERMANTOWN — Dallas Hayden, a junior at Christian Brothers High School, had a stellar performance against the Houston Mustangs Friday night in the 2020 season opener for both schools.
Hayden, a rising junior and son of former Volunteers running back Aaron Hayden, rushed for 260 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Purple Wave’s 24-14 victory over Houston in Germantown.
Hayden, who also plays defensive back for Christian Brothers, is being recruited as an athlete and is a four-star prospect in the class of 2022. He is ranked No. 10 in his class, holding offers from the Vols, Florida State and Virginia Tech.
His older brother, Chase, is a running back at East Carolina.
After his career at Tennessee, Aaron, the family patriarch, played four years in the National Football League for the San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.
Aaron Hayden is currently the running backs coach for the Purple Wave.
