Dak Prescott, MVP?
He sure looks like one as of late, and especially after his Thursday night win with the Dallas Cowboys over the Seattle Seahawks. And it was after the game that he delivered a message to anyone out there who was a hater (and there have been plenty given the fact that he led the NFL in interceptions last year with 15.
This year? He’s leading the NFL in TDs as Week 13 starts and has 3,234 yards with just six INTs. His 70.1 completion percentage would easily be a career-high.
Which gets us to this message to his haters. It’s a long one transcribed by The Athletic’s Jon Machota that you can fully see below. But here’s the part I loved:
“I have the pen, I have the paper, and I am the one writing. Because I am playing as well as I am now, it doesn’t mean I am going to stop. It doesn’t mean I’m going to listen to them now. I appreciate them, but I don’t care about their opinions right now any more than I did when they were calling for my spot. As I said, I am blessed, this last year has been a reflection of that. A lot of great things have happened in my life and they are going to continue to happen in my life because of my mindset and where I put the value of life.”
