Anyone hoping to get their hands on the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 this year might want to sit down, as both aren’t coming out until 2022 now.
On Wednesday, developer CD Projekt Red announced that the next generation updates for both games won’t come out until next year. The studio is targeting the first quarter for Cyberpunk 2077 and the second quarter for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It’s not all that surprising, considering CD Projekt Red said back in September that these delays might happen, even it’s still a bummer.

There’s no doubt that CD Projekt Red is handling these updated versions with care, as the studio likely wants to avoid another catastrophic launch like what happened with Cyberpunk 2077 last year. Either way, you’ll be able to play both games on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S soon enough.
