Curry said “that’s still the goal” when asked about playing for Team USA in the Tokyo Olympics. He said “obviously we’ll be done April 16” — because the Warriors will not make the playoffs — “so you kind of understand what the schedule looks like leading up to July when training camp in Vegas starts.” Curry has never played in an Olympics. He has two golds from FIBA World Championships, the last coming in 2014, and after the Americans’ embarrassing seventh-place finish in China last summer, Curry was one of a host of stars to say in September that he would either compete in Tokyo, intended to, or was at least interested.
