The transfer portal is a huge part of the game of college football, and college basketball for that matter. The Oklahoma Sooners are no strangers to this as they have seen many players come and go in both sports.
Over the offseason, the team lost a couple of quarterbacks, a tight end, a wide receiver, and more. Lincoln Riley also added an offensive tackle, running back, and a defensive back using that very same portal on top of his top 15 recruiting class in 2021. The team is loading up for another run at the College Football Playoffs. It remains to be seen if they can finally get off the snide and get that elusive semifinal win in the annual four-team playoff.
Due to the NCAA’s one-time transfer waiver that allows players to be immediately eligible, that number of players in the portal will likely continue to grow.
