Postseason basketball could be coming to an arena near you.
ESPN’s latest bracketology was released on Tuesday and the Colorado women were a projected No. 4 seed for the NCAA Tournament, which would allow the Buffs to host their first-round game and a potential second-round matchup.
The projection has No. 13 seed Long Beach State facing CU in round one. If the Buffs win, they would then meet the winner of No. 5 seed Iowa State vs. No. 12 seed South Dakota State (a game that would also be played at the CU Events Center) in round two.
Homecourt advantage would, of course, be huge for a 20-5 Buffs team that is currently 11-1 at the Events Center.
After snapping a nine-year March Madness drought last season, the Buffs played at Iowa and fell in round one to Creighton. Colorado last hosted as a No. 5 seed in 2013 and lost to Kansas in the first round.
