CU Buffs make ESPN’s bottom-10 college football rankings

Colorado hasn’t navigated its difficult schedule well in 2022

Can the 2022 season be over for the Colorado Buffaloes football team?

The Buffs have one win while men’s basketball just upset Tennessee, so that’s an encouraging sign for one of the programs.

However, the Buffs football squad can’t wait for this year to end and for the head coach search to be at the forefront finally.

Ryan McGee of ESPN has released his bottom-10 college football rankings, and the Buffs dropped in at No. 4:

The Buffs continued their “How can we help your Heisman candidate?” goodwill tour, as they allowed a five-touchdown performance by USC quarterback Caleb Williams on the heels of allowing a five-touchdown performance by Oregon quarterback Bo Nix. I’m no Nostradamus, but I’m here to say that this weekend Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will account for five touchdowns against the Buffs.

The only way the Buffs can go is up, right?

Well, things don’t look good. Colorado finishes the season with games against Washington (ouch) and Utah. Mike Sanford managed one win, but it’s doubtful that the Buffs will defeat either the Huskies or Utes.

Don’t worry, next season will be here soon.
