As Penn State is preparing for an appearance in the final four of the College Football Playoff, the future is continuing to come together beyond this season. Penn State already has its Class of 2025 locked up, so the focus has been on building the Class of 2026. One position of need for Penn State will continue to be wide receiver, and the Nittany Lions appear to be emerging as a favorite for one of the top players in Pennsylvania.
The first crystal ball pick for [autotag]Wydeek Collier[/autotag], a three-star athlete from Neumann Goretti in Philadelphia, has been cast in favor of Penn State. The recruiting prediction comes from Tyler Calvaruso of Lions247. Calvaruso is three-for-three on his Class of 2026 predictions so far and has a solid track record with his all-time predictions, so this seems to be pretty encouraging news for Penn State’s recruiting efforts.
The On3 recruiting prediction machine also gives Penn State a 93.1% chance of securing a commitment from Colier based on the latest developments in his recruiting process. Collier has taken four reported visits to Penn State. He has also visited Rutgers four times.
Collier, who measures 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, is ranked as the no. 17 player overall in Pennsylvania by 247Sports, and he is considered the no. 33 athlete in the nation. He thrives as a pass rusher, which Penn State has had a strong reputation with over the years. Collier has previously announced he will share his decision on January 19, so a decision is coming soon.
Other schools considered in the running along with Penn State and Rutgers include Miami, West Virginia, and Syracuse.
