The odds a VCU basketball reunion takes form at Penn State continue to be on the rise. If you are keeping score at home, Penn State now has former VCU head coach Mike Roach leading the program, with a number of assistants following him from VCU, and Penn State’s first addition out of the transfer portal was Ace Baldwin, a former VCU standout coming off an Atlantic-10 player of the year season with the Rams.
Another could be on the way soon as Penn State continues to recruit VCU transfer Jalen Deloach, but there could be even more VCU flavor with the Nittany Lions coming Penn State’s way according to a fresh crystal ball prediction.
Another VCU player in the transfer portal is small forward Nicholas Kern, a 6′-6″ player who could add some needed size to the Penn State roster. As of this posting, there is just one crystal ball prediction on the board at 247Sports, and it is for Penn State from 247Sports writer Tyler Calvarusso, who covered Penn State recruiting for Lions247.
Kern is coming off his sophomore season with VCU. He started 19 games for the Rams last season with an average of 17.9 minutes per game and 5.3 points per game with 2.7 rebounds per game.
Kern entered the transfer portal on March 30. Will he end his transfer journey in Happy Valley? We’ll be keeping a close eye on that development as Penn State has plenty of room to fill on its basketball roster at the moment.
much love, the journey continues…🙏🏽 #allLOVEVCU pic.twitter.com/XYabMgLDfJ
