Cris Cyborg, the Brazilian-American MMA star, could give boxing a try. And, evidently, she isn’t looking for soft touches. She mentioned unbeaten boxing champion Cecilia Braekus as a possible opponent when the sports world gets back to business.

The 34-year-old Cyborg, whose real name is Cristiane Justino Venancio, is the only fighter to hold titles in the four major MMA promotional companies.

“I’m training a lot in boxing now. I was thinking about maybe I do my next fight in boxing,” Cyborg said in a TMZ Sports video. “… Me and Cecilia Braekhus always talk back and forth. But, you know, I’m training. … I think everyone is gonna be a very good match for me. It’s gonna be a great fight.

“I like to challenge myself. I never look for the easy way. I like to train hard, and make the best fight for my career, for my fans.”

She went on: “”I always compete in everything, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, MMA, jiu-jitsu, grappling. But, I never got the opportunity [to fight] Muay Thai, I never got the opportunity to fight box. For me, it’s gonna be an honor to fight [Braekhus].”

Cyborg, who fights for Bellator, acknowledged that there is a learning curve in boxing.

“I improve every day,” she said. “I never think I know everything. I just learn every day, open my mind. Boxing is very different from MMA. There are a lot of things I have to learn. But I’m learning every day. I’m happy about it.”
