Crimson Tide remains ranked No. 4 in Week 5 US LBM Coaches Poll

Alabama and Georgia both ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll Top 5 ahead of epic showdown.

Kalen DeBoer’s first true test as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide will come this weekend as the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs come to town. Both sides were on a bye this past weekend, and Ohio State and Texas marched through pay-to-play games leaving the top five of the US LBM Coaches Poll the same.

Tennessee jumped over Oregon to take the No. 6 spot, Missouri fell out of the top ten and Miami climbed two spots to No. 9, but there weren’t a ton of upsets this weekend. Nine members of the SEC remain ranked in this week’s poll as well as five of the top six spots now. The race for the 12-team field is only going to intensify as the year goes on, but it looks like the SEC is going to get five or six teams in.

The Bulldogs have only won in Tuscaloosa twice ever, Kirby Smart is yet to do it so the Crimson Tide will have their work cut out for them. However, QB Jalen Milroe is playing as well as anyone to start the year and I think we are in for an epic four quarter showdown next Saturday.
