The Alabama basketball team must have heard the noise outside prior to the tipoff of this game against No. 4 Baylor because right now they’re playing like one of the best teams in the country.
The Crimson Tide has shot 52% from the floor and is 3-13 from three-point range through one half in this matchup of the Big 12 / SEC Challenge.
Jahvon Quinerly is leading the Tide in points, finally appearing to have gotten out of his own head. He has 12 points, three assists and a rebound so far.
J.D. Davison and Jaden Shackelford have seven and six points, respectively, rounding out the backcourt and contributing plenty to the Tide’s four-point lead at the half.
Shackelford has added five rebounds to his stat line as well.
Baylor shot 45% in the first half and is 4-8 from the 3PT line.
Alabama has taken seven shots from the free-throw line and has hit all of them, while the Bears are 10-13 from the charity stripe.
Each team has turned the ball over eight times.
