PASS on the money line.
While Seton Hall should get the win, a -260 value in Big East game is far too much. With Creighton just 3-3 straight up in road play, I wouldn’t side with their +205 either.
Against the spread
BET on CREIGHTON +5.5 (-107).
The Bluejays may not have had the most success in Big East play, but they’ve been covering the spread. They’re 4-2 in Big East play as underdogs.
They’ve been so good this season behind their 86th-ranked defense, one that allows just 65.7 points per game. They’ve also held opponents under 40% shooting this season.
Seton Hall’s strength is also its defense, and with two defensive-minded teams, the margin of difference should be slim as fewer points will go on the board.
With the Pirates 3-7 ATS in their last 10 and just 4-6 straight up, I’ll side with the Bluejays to cover here.
Over/Under
“LEAN” to the UNDER 134.5 (-107).
While this is low total, both teams play at a slow pace and are more focused defensively. This season, Creighton is 6-13-1 O/U and Seton Hall is 7-12 O/U. Creighton is 3-6 O/U and Seton Hall is 3-7 O/U in conference play.
Given the trends, the Under is the only way to play the total, although I’d prefer the Creighton spread in this Big East battle.
