The final injury report is out but the Cowboys are still holding out hope for some last-minute improvement. | From @KDDrummondNFL

The Dallas Cowboys may have a smaller injury list than the Giants for Sunday’s season opener, but it seems to be far more impactful. After Friday’s practice, they’ve listed two players as doubtful and two more as questionable, and all four are among the team’s top 25 players. Along the offensive line, the left-side starters have one of each designation with second-year left guard Tyler Smith still being unable to practice due to a hamstring injury and Tyron Smith remaining limited with an ankle injury.

They are joined by safety Donovan Wilson (calf) who missed most of camp and defensive end Sam Williams (foot) who might haev the best news of all. Williams was a full participant in Friday’s work and is trending upward. Head coach Mike McCarthy said the other three will work on Saturday to see if there’s a chance they could suit up. Meanwhile the Giants’ biggest offseason acquisition, tight end Darren Waller, showed up on their report for the first time with his own hamstring concerns.

New York listed three players as doubtful and another three as questionable, including Waller. Here’s a look at the full injury report and the status of all injured players over the course of the week.
