Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott: Two-time rushing champ, first-time gift wrapper

The Cowboys RB attempts to wrap a birthday gift for QB and best friend Dak Prescott in a new “Hard Knocks” preview clip from HBO.

If this NFL running back thing ends up not working out for Ezekiel Elliott, it’s safe to say he won’t find a backup gig waiting for him at the gift-wrapping counter at the mall.

HBO has released another short preview of Hard Knocks: The Dallas Cowboys. Tonight’s season premiere episode will feature the team’s training camp starting with their arrival in Oxnard and running through last Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game.

Also falling within that window? Quarterback Dak Prescott’s 28th birthday. To mark the occasion, Elliott decided to give his best friend a gift… and to wrap it himself.

The two-time rushing champ admits it was his first time wrapping a gift. Judging by the clip, hitting the 5-hole and putting a spin move on a crashing linebacker might actually be a far easier assignment.

The clip may also document the first time that a certain $160 million man has ever had a door literally slammed in his face.

Hard Knocks: The Dallas Cowboys, with plenty of hard-hitting football action to go along with lighter off-the-field moments like this, premieres Tuesday night on HBO and HBO Max. The Emmy-award-winning original series runs for five consecutive weeks.
