Cowboys News Links: Prescott agent meets with Jones for 1st time in 6 months

The Cowboys’ coach spoke to the media and the Cowboys brass spoke with the reps of their most important asset.

As the on-field portion of scouting combine workouts begin, NFL draft season is officially in full swing. The next few days will solidify or call into question many prospects’ draft stocks, but while eyes are in Indianapolis, the Cowboys’ gaze goes in multiple directions.

For the first time in a long time, Dak Prescott’s representatives sat down face-to-face with the Cowboys’ brass. After the Combine draft speculation will become increasingly accurate, but it is never too early to take a look at three potential mid round value sin the draft. Also an NFL.com writer pairs a player to Dallas that you probably wouldn’t expect.

All that and more in news and notes.

Positive news for Cowboy fans, Prescott’s agent Todd France has been in contact with the Cowboys. After Stephen Jones said recently it had been months since the two sides discussed the deal, this is a step in the right direction.
