These are not your daddy’s Lions. For the first time in 30 years, yes 30 years, Detroit has won their division title. Dan Campbell has timed his team’s rise with the fall of his NFC North rivals somewhat perfectly and has built a bona fide contender in the process. It’s a team that’s solid on both sides of the ball and carrying momentum at time it matters most.
The Cowboys are coming off two consecutive losses. They’ve been stuck at 10 wins for what feels like an eternity and want nothing more than to right the ship in what could be their last home game of the season.
Dallas doesn’t have the momentum of the Lions, but they have plenty of motivation. If they win out and get a single drop of help from others, they can still win the NFC East.
But what can the Cowboys expect from this vastly improved Lions team? What personnel groups do the Lions prefer? How often do they run and pass out of them? And what can the Cowboys do to stop them?
