With just over 24 hours remaining before the rematch heard round the world, the Dallas Cowboys have put the finishing touches on their gameplan. It includes having four tight ends on deck, which is similar to how they prepped for Seattle in Week 13, but a bit different. With the Philadelphia Eagles on deck, Dallas has swapped out Sean McKeon, now on IR, for the return of Peyton Hendershot.
Hendershot was activated after practicing for the last several weeks, in the hopes that his head is in the game and ready to contribute to the team. Dallas is still elevating Princeton Fant, the team’s fourth tight end, for the contest. Last week, Fant only played on special teams, logging 15 snaps there. McKeon saw only eight snaps on offense and 15 of his own on ST, so that’s what Hendershot will be judged off of as the new TE3.
The team will be closely monitoring Hendershot’s performance over the remainder of the season in order to properly gauge what kind of in-house depth they have at the position after spending a second-round pick on Luke Schoonmaker this past April. As for the attack against the Eagles, Dallas will be pretty healthy and will be making six healthy scratches inactive come Sunday evening. Here’s a look at the full compliment of players they’ll choose their 48-man gameday roster from.
