COVID issues for Ohio State could delay Steve Sarkisian’s arrival at Texas

According to reports there are issues for Ohio State with COVID-19, that could push back the title game and Steve Sarkisian’s arrival at UT.

Jan. 12 is the date that many Texas fans have circled on the calender. The CFP National Championship is set for Jan. 11 and the next day Steve Sarkisian is slated to begin his tenure as the Longhorns new head coach.

However, it was recently reported that there are COVID-19 issues on the Ohio State Buckeyes team that could push back the game. Thus it would push back Sark’s arrival as he is trying to finalize his staff and finish out the 2021 recruiting class.

The Southeastern Conference and the Alabama Crimson Tide want to play the game. According to the reports so do the Buckeyes, so who is trying to hold this up? You guessed right, the Big Ten Conference. Much like they did to put Ohio State in the conference title game, they are hoping to push back the game a week for COVID-19 positive cases on the team.

Not everyone likes it and Nick Saban’s daughter had something to say on the matter in a tweet, which has since been deleted.

Apparently, not everyone is buying into the COVID-19 report. All this means for the Texas Longhorns is that it could push back Sark’s arrival. Let’s all hope it doesn’t come to that and he can officially start his duties as the Texas Longhorns head coach on his scheduled date of Jan. 12.
