A deadly gun fight in a park in Palo Alto has left one man dead and three others injured. That man, according to multiple reports, is said to be Ralph Fields Jr who is the cousin of Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.
In an eerie twist, it was just six weeks ago that Adams himself was at that park, donating playground equipment.
EAST PALO ALTO, CA – Six weeks ago former #Packers receiver Davante Adams was back in his hometown donating playground equipment for this neighborhood park. Tuesday night, in the same park, Adam's cousin Ralph Fields Jr. was killed by gunfire in a gang incident caught on video. pic.twitter.com/CxwSdBODA4

It was on that same playground at Jack Farrell park that the shots broke out in what is being described as gang violence. The whole thing was captured on video, but I will not post that video here or link to it. Police say there were 33 shots fired as children ran in fear.
An ambulance was called, but Fields was pronounced dead before it had arrived at the hospital. Fields was just 34 years of age.
Adams grew up in Palo Alto and attended Palo Alto High School before heading to Fresno State for college. He joined the Raiders this offseason after spending the first eight years of his career with the Green Bay Packers.
