Last week, Pro Football Focus published a list of the top 25 players in the NFL who are younger than 25. Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton made the list, ranked No. 23.
“Sutton stepped into the No. 1 void left after the Broncos parted ways with Emmanuel Sanders, and he developed into a legitimate top option in their passing game,” PFF’s Ben Linsey wrote. “Sutton’s 83.1 PFF grade was a top-10 mark at the wide receiver position in 2019.”
Sutton made the Pro Bowl as an alternate last year after catching 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns while playing with three different quarterbacks. Entering his third year in the NFL, Sutton will be joined by rookies Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler in the WR room this season.
Sutton is ranked above Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (No. 24) but below Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (No. 6), Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore (No. 16), Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown (No. 21) and Washington Redskins WR Terry McLaurin (No. 22).
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is ranked No. 1 on the list.
