Could USC basketball land 2025 five-star forward Trey McKenney?

This would be a recruiting win on par with Isaiah Collier for #USC if Andy Enfield can bring this one home.

Trey McKenney is from Saint Mary’s High School in Detroit. He was selected by the Michigan Associated Press as the Division I Player of the Year in 2022.

He averaged 25.4 points and 11.1 rebounds in his sophomore season, after averaging 16.9 points and six rebounds as a freshman. McKenney has picked up an offer from USC basketball.

McKenney ranks as the No. 13 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 small forward and No. 2 player from Michigan in the class.

USC is one of more than 30 schools to already extend an offer to McKenney. Other notable programs to extend an offer to McKenney include Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Miami (FL), Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, TCU and Texas.

USC and Andy Enfield have recruited at a high level in recent years, especially this past cycle with the huge recruitment of No. 1 overall recruit Isaiah Collier. Landing McKenney would affirm USC as a new destination program for the best high school basketball players in the United States.
