Could Rajon Rondo return to the Boston Celtics as an assistant coach?

Rondo recently revealed that the popular speculation that the Kentucky alum might want to coach after his playing career is in fact true.

Rajon Rondo revealed the speculation that the champion Boston Celtics floor general might want to coach after his playing career is true.

Rondo made the comment during an appearance on former NBAer JJ Redick‘s “Old Man and the Three” podcast.

Unsurprisingly, his words sparked a new round of speculation about an eventual reunion with the Celtics as an assistant coach.

Known for his incredible basketball IQ and playmaking abilities, Rondo played a crucial role in the Celtics’ 2008 championship run. It seems possible if not probable that Boston might welcome a return of the prodigal point guard in such a capacity.

To talk it over, the hosts of the CLNS Media “A-List” podcast got together to talk it over on a recent episode.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
