With its 14th 2021 commitment, Michigan finally got its first four-star on the defensive side of the ball, as Brentwood (TN) Ravenwood outside linebacker Junior Colson pledged to the class on Sunday. Could it add another on Monday?

It’s certainly possible. Perhaps even plausible.

On Sunday evening, Michigan inside linebacker target, 2021 Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas’ Jaydon Hood made known on Twitter that he intends to make his choice of college on Memorial Day. And the Wolverines currently have two 247Sports Crystal Balls in their favor. And Hood already has a teammate committed to play in Ann Arbor in three-star cornerback Ja’Den McBurrows.

Hood’s other finalists appear to be Miami (FL), Kentucky and Minnesota.

He’s rated as the No. 298 player in the country, regardless of position, per the 247Sports Composite, the 11th-best inside linebacker and No. 48 player in the state of Florida.

Brian Jean-Mary and Don Brown are leading the charge for the maize and blue.
