Could Jordan Addison stay in Los Angeles as a Charger?

.@TheChargersWire goes into the film room to evaluate Jordan Addison.

The NFL draft is coming closer, and the projections are flying fast and furious. You’re going to see a lot more projections over the next two weeks, but while we speculate about the teams where USC’s 2022 football stars will land, there is the separate matter of player evaluation.

Just how well does USC receiver Jordan Addison hold up when placed under scrutiny? Chargers Wire is interested in potential new teammates for quarterback Justin Herbert.

Here are some of Jordan Addison’s strengths, according to Chargers Wire analyst Cole Topham:

Takes sharp angles when attacking space to completely erase leverage. Knows how to shake defenders with quick hip drop and low pad level for clean transfer of energy through breaks. Marries sudden change of direction and nimble footwork with play anticipation of evolving coverage. Lets athleticism take over when given the ball quickly on screen passes.”

Some weaknesses:

“Thin, slinky frame akin to DeVonta Smith draws durability concerns – missed two games with ankle injury last season. Average catch strength and clamp ability in contested situations.”

Read the Chargers Wire article to find out where Topham grades Addison. You’ll also get a lot of film on the USC receiver.
