Could ESPN’s College GameDay head to LSU at Alabama?

Could ESPN’s College GameDay be in attendance when LSU faces Alabama on Nov. 4?

LSU and Alabama are set to face-off on Nov. 4 in Tuscaloosa.

With LSU climbing in the latest AP Top 25, the game is once again a top 15 matchup carrying conference implications.

That could make it a potential destination for ESPN’s College GameDay.

Right now, it’s one of three games featuring two top-25 teams that day, along with Missouri at Georgia and Washington at USC.

Of those three, Washington at USC is the only game slated to be broadcast by an ESPN network.

That contest will have Pac-12 race implications, but after two straight losses, USC is beginning to fade from the national discussion.

Missouri at Georgia is a strong hosting candidate, but the Bulldogs will be heavy favorites in that game.

That leaves us with LSU at Alabama. GameDay already appeared in Tuscaloosa once this year, back on Sep. 9, but the LSU-Bama game is a frequent stop for the show.

ESPN could also be looking to ramp up its SEC coverage in anticipation of becoming the conference’s primary rights holder in 2024.
