Could Baylor Scheierman be Sam Hauser free agency insurance for the Boston Celtics?

Creighton star shooting guard Baylor Scheierman was selected 30th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA draft.

Creighton star shooting guard Baylor Scheierman was selected 30th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA draft on this past Wednesday (June 26) night. Last season, Scheierman averaged 18.5 points per game, 9.0 rebounds per game, and shot 38.1% from 3-point range.

He joins the reigning champs, and could conceivably see the floor this season with the parent club, depending on how fast he picks up Boston’s defensive schema. CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning, Jimmy Toscano, and Josue Pavon reacted to the selection on a special draft edition of the “Garden Report” podcast, discussing how Scheierman fits with the Celtics and what he brings to the team.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say.
