The New York Jets aren’t done making offseason moves, with one national outlet believing that the Jets are still in need of some offensive help.
It has been a big offseason for the Jets, with signings such as defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, guard John Simpson, left tackle Tyron Smith, wide receiver Mike Williams addressing several needs on both sides of the ball.
And there was a solid draft class that included first round pick Olumuyiwa Fashanu.
But the Jets are likely to make one or two more significant moves this offseason.
Pro Football Network speculated that the Jets are an ideal landing spot for a veteran wide receiver, one who could elevate the offense and provide another downfield threat for quarterback Aaron Rodgers:
“We’re certain Rodgers wouldn’t pass on the opportunity to feed Thomas the football — and he could complement Garrett Wilson.”
In 2023, his seventh season in the NFL, Thomas played in just 10 games but still had 39 catches for 448 receiving yards and a touchdown.
He would certainly bring some pedigree to the Jets. Three times a Pro Bowl selection (and twice an All-Pro), Thomas topped triple-digit receptions three times in his career.
The 31-year-old, if he can stay healthy, would be a huge potential get for the Jets.

With Rodgers sidelined for nearly the entirety of last season, the Jets offense very understandably finished second-to-last in the NFL.
