Reports trickled that Saints running back Alvin Kamara, who is looking for a new contract, could be traded.
It seems unlikely that the Saints would trade such a big part of their offense, but you never know.
Where could Kamara end up?
Jeff Kerr over at CBS Sports listed the eight favorites. Featured on the list were the Green Bay Packers.
Here’s what Kerr wrote about the fit:
Kamara would have reduced touches, but he also would be an important weapon for the offense throughout the year and in the postseason. (Aaron) Rodgers doesn’t have many opportunities left to win a Super Bowl and Green Bay needs to give him more help than what he has now. Adding Kamara would be a gamble that could pay huge dividends.
With Aaron Jones as the RB1 and the team just drafting AJ Dillon in the second round, the fit seems like a stretch. But Kerr is right. The window for Rodgers is dwindling. The more weapons for him offensively, the better.
