Former Washington center Parker Brailsford has been missing from recent Alabama practices and reportedly did not participate in last Thursday’s scrimmage.
Rumors have begun to swirl that Brailsford might consider entering the transfer portal when it opens on April 15 and after being an integral part of the offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award last season, and Washington’s lack of depth along the offensive line, there is an obvious fit and connection between the two parties.
He started all 15 games for the Huskies last season, with the first two coming at right guard before moving to center for the remaining 13 following an injury to Matteo Mele.
Brailsford initially transferred to Alabama to follow offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and offensive line coach Scott Huff, however, both coaches took positions with the Seattle Seahawks shorty after arriving in Tuscaloosa.
The redshirt sophomore has been competing for the starting center position in Alabama against fourth-year player James Brockermeyer. Lately, Alabama media members have reported that Brailsford has been taking snaps with the second team, potentially signaling that Brockermeyer has won the starting job.
According to a source, Parker Brailsford remains absent during Alabama's recent practices. Last week, @TideIllustrated reported the transfer center did not participate in Thursday's scrimmage despite not being injured.

With the two coaches he appeared closest with choosing to depart, plus potentially losing the job to Brockermeyer, Brailsford would be one of the hottest commodities in the transfer portal if he decides to reenter.
Offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll is still looking for a starting center with sophomore Landen Hatchett slated to miss all of spring practice while rehabbing from a knee injury and Brailsford would add an experienced body who can step in and provide a veteran presence right away if he decides to return to Washington.
