A young Sprint Car racing star is set to make their ARCA Menards Series debut this weekend. As announced earlier in the week, Corey Day will join Pinnacle Racing Group to drive the No. 28 car at Salem Speedway on July 27. However, the news was even more notable when Hendrickcars.com entered a partnership with Day.
The 18-year-old driver is considered a rising star on dirt and has limited pavement experience. Yet, Day won his first pavement feature in April when driving a JR Motorsports Late Model Stock Car at Hickory Motor Speedway. Day has been turning heads in the racing world as several people within the dirt community hoped he would stay in sprint cars.
However, Day now has a partnership with Hendrickcars.com, which could signal the future of his racing career. If everything pans out, Hendrick Motorsports could be Day’s new home. It’ll be interesting to watch the young star’s progress in the ARCA Menards Series, as the likes of Kyle Larson have praised him at only 18 years old.
