Cooper Kupp is working on his game this weekend in Lake Tahoe, but not on the field. He’s playing in the American Century Championship, which is a celebrity golf tournament that features the likes of Steph Curry, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers and Alfonso Ribeiro.
He’s the only Rams player in the field – though former Rams safety Eric Weddle is also playing – but he made sure to take a jab at a pair of his teammates. On Instagram, Kupp posted a photo of himself on the course and said Andrew Whitworth and Jared Goff – who are often found playing golf – won’t want to play against him pretty soon.
Whitworth responded by saying he wants to see Kupp whenever he’s ready, which Kupp didn’t argue with. But the wideout stood by his take on Goff’s golf game.
“Yeaaahhh.. I know you do. You can bury me. But I stand by my shot at JG 😂” Kupp wrote.
Even Johnny Hekker got in on the fun, saying Kupp is too afraid to come after him.
Last offseason, Goff made his first hole-in-one, which was quite the feat considering he’s still taking up the game. He and Whitworth supposedly made a bet that Goff will beat his left tackle in golf within 10 years, which seems like a good proposition in Goff’s favor.
