Cooper Kupp and Hunter Long placed on IR, will miss at least 4 games

Cooper Kupp has unfortunately landed on injured reserve, which means he’ll miss at least the first four games of the season

Well, it’s going to be a little while before we see Cooper Kupp on the field this season. The Los Angeles Rams placed their star receiver on injured reserve Saturday, along with Hunter Long, which means they will miss at least the next four games.

Kupp suffered a setback with his hamstring injury last week, causing the Rams to shut him down for the time being until he can “return to performance,” not just return to play.

He originally strained his hamstring in early August so he’s missed significant time as a result, and now he’ll be out even longer.

Long has been dealing with a thigh injury since before camp and while the Rams opted not to start him on the PUP list, he’s still going to miss four games on IR.

The good news is that Stetson Bennett has avoided an IR stint for now, but the Rams have still promoted Brett Rypien from the practice squad for this week.
