Cooper Flagg and Duke basketball hold at No. 4 in quiet AP Poll

The Duke Blue Devils, along with every other member of the top 10, stayed put in Monday’s updated men’s basketball AP Poll.

The Associated Press kept every member of the top 10 in the exact same spot in Monday’s updated AP Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll, including the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils haven’t played since last Saturday, a 10-day break that left nothing new for the voters to consider. Freshman superstar [autotag]Cooper Flagg[/autotag] and his teammates remain behind only the Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, and Iowa State Cyclones at the top of the board.

In what’s become a bit of a theme for the 2024-25 season, Duke is still the only ACC team within the top 25. The Pittsburgh Panthers, North Carolina Tar Heels, and Clemson Tigers all received at least eight votes, but none of them cracked the five in the Receiving Votes category.

Compare that to 10 SEC teams, five Big 12 teams, and five Big Ten teams within the rankings, and the Blue Devils have the easiest path to a conference title of any major contender.

Flagg and his teammates play the Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday afternoon with a chance for their seventh straight win.
