On Tuesday evening, it was reported by columnist John Canzano that the Oregon Ducks had signed head coach Dan Lanning to a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2028 season while making him one of the 20 highest-paid coaches in college football.

He earned $4.6 million in salary last season, plus $100,000 for winning nine regular-season games and $100,000 for appearing in the Holiday Bowl.
