The world watches as the coronavirus pandemic continues to devastate Italy.
From celebrities to everyday people, well wishes have been shared online from all corners of the world. Sunday, UFC star [autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] added his name to the list in an Instagram post.
In the post, McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) paid tribute to the nation, complimenting multiple aspects of Italian culture. The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion said he could not get Italy out of his head.
“I cannot get Italy out of my thoughts,” McGregor said. “Praying daily for this great nation that brought the world such amazing things. From it’s people and their culture. To it’s architecture and design. Its style! It’s cuisine! It’s art! The list goes on and on and on! Italy and it’s people are class personified, through and through. Lord Jesus please save Italy and it’s people today and everyday here forward”
Sunday’s post was not the first time McGregor had vented about the coronavirus on his social media. Check out McGregor’s most recent post on the coronavirus, followed by the preceding outbreak posts below.
