[autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] is beaming with confidence about his chances of returning to glory upon his UFC return.
McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC), a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, has been out of action since July when he suffered a broken leg in his first-round TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. It was a serious injury that required surgery, and “The Notorious” has been on the mend ever since.
It hasn’t exactly been a pleasant break for the Irishman thus far. He’s made headlines for all the wrong reasons, from his questionable Twitter rants to his red carpet scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly at the MTV Video Music Awards to allegations he punched a famous Italian DJ in Rome. Because of all this, fair questions about where fighting sits on his list of priorities have opened up.
McGregor offered some glimpses of hope for his supporters on Friday during a Q&A on Twitter.
During the sessions, McGregor boasted about his progress with recovery after surgery, and issued a stern warning to all the fighters out there who could be in his path when he makes his targeted octagon return in 2022.
