[autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] and [autotag]Nate Diaz[/autotag] are back at it again on social media, but this time things look a bit different.
It’s no secret that both McGregor and Diaz have had their differences and are not afraid to take shots at each other online. However, the rivals’ most recent back-and-forth on included a one-liner that seems to promise a trilogy fight between the two.
In the comments on a post on UFC president Dana White’s instagram about McGregor’s thoughts on UFC 249, Diaz wrote, ‘Shut your (expletive) up,’ to which McGregor replied, ‘Shut your eye lid and sign the contract.’
McGregor and Diaz are knotted at one in their in-cage rivalry, as Diaz submitted the Irishman at UFC 196 back in 2016 and for the latter’s first UFC loss, while McGregor got revenge five months later, outpointing Diaz for a majority decision at UFC 202.
The Irish superstar last fought in January where he stopped Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. Meanwhile, Diaz last fought in November where he lost to Jorge Masvidal due to a doctor’s stoppage (TKO).
Neither competitor currently has a fight booked, but McGregor has indicated interest in a July return.
Below is the back-and-forth between McGregor and Diaz:
