Connor Stallions now coaching Bryce Underwood at Belleville

Connor Stallions joined the staff at Belleville High and is now coaching Bryce Underwood

As Michigan makes a push to flip Bryce Underwood from LSU, former Michigan assistant Connor Stallions joined Underwood’s high school staff at Bellville.

Belleville High School confirmed the news to CBS Detroit.

Stallions rose to prominence when Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal came to light in 2023. This is his second high school stop of the season after serving as DC and interim head coach at Detroit Mumford High School.

Belleville is making another deep playoff run. Underwood led the program to back-to-back state titles in 2021 and 2022 but fell just short last year. Underwood is hoping to go out on top with a third ring this year.

Underwood is coming off a visit to LSU over the weekend. Despite the noise about a potential flip, Underwood remains locked in with LSU for now.

The Tigers class ranks top five nationally with Underwood as the headliner. Underwood is the top player in the class with some calling him a generational QB. He’s the type of prospect LSU can’t afford to lose, especially this close to signing day.

Its unclear if Stallions will have any impact on Underwood’s recruitment, but Stallions is a known Michigan superfan so its no secret where Stallions’ loyalty lies.

LSU will have to keep its foot on the gas until Underwood signs next month.
