University of Tennessee baseball player Connor Pavolony has been named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List.
It is given by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.
Pavolony is in his third season as a catcher with the Volunteers.
As a freshman, he started 34 games for the Vols. In 2020, as a sophomore, Pavolony was off to a hot start before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When the campaign ended, Pavolony had four home runs and 12 RBIs in 12 games. He batted .342 and had a .737 slugging percentage.
