Wisconsin freshman guard Connor Essegian set a school record in Sunday’s overtime loss at Michigan.
The Indiana native led the way for the Badgers with a team-high 24 points, and knocked down a three-pointer that gave him the all-time record for made threes as a Wisconsin freshman.
Essegian surpassed Brad Davison as he nailed his 61st three-pointer of the 2022-23 season. It’s a prestigious list of names in the record books, as the Badger freshman has also passed Devin Harris and Sam Dekker en route to the record.
Essegian is shooting nearly 40% from three on the season and is averaging 11.7 points per game on the year.
