Committed to the tank: Browns name their starting QB vs Dolphins

Getting set to take on the Dolphins, the Browns are not making a switch at quarterback as Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the start

The Cleveland Browns are not making a change at the quarterback position against the Miami Dolphins.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the start.

Despite a putrid outing against the Cincinnati Bengals, a game where he entered halftime with zero net positive yards through the air, the Browns are either committed to tanking the end of their season or still want to evaluate Thompson-Robinson down the stretch.

The Browns currently hold the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft with two games left to play, but the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are still slated for a head-to-head. They look locked into a top-four pick this upcoming Spring.

Thompson-Robinson finished his first start of the 2024 season against the Bengals with just 157 yards passing and two interceptions. He completed less than 60 percent of his passes and maintained a quarterback rating of just 45.8.

Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who was on a torrid pace with quarterback Jameis Winston, finished the game with just two catches for 20 yards. Tight end David Njoku led the Browns in receiving with 66 yards on eight catches.
